Why Documenting My Academic Journey Matters 🌐

Welcome to muyopage! When I first started my Computer Science degree, I kept all my lecture notes, summaries, and programming tasks in local folders. Eventually, I realized that storing knowledge privately in a silo wasn’t the most effective way to learn.

This post explains why I decided to create this public portal and how documenting my studies helps me become a better student.

1. Learning in Public

The concept of “learning in public” means sharing your learning progress, mistakes, and milestones openly. When I write a blog post about a topic like database normalization or CPU scheduling, I have to make sure my explanation is accurate and clear.

This accountability drives me to study the topic more deeply than I would if I were just prepping for a quick quiz.

2. Creating a Digital Archive

College semesters go by quickly. By the time you reach your final year, it is easy to forget what you studied in your freshman and sophomore classes.

Muyopage serves as my personal digital archive. I can search through my past notes using the global search (Ctrl + K / Cmd + K) and instantly reference:

• How to solve discrete math relations.
• Relational database schema designs.
• Common algorithmic paradigms.

3. Connecting with Fellow Students

Sharing notes online helps me connect with fellow students who are studying similar subjects. Whether it is sharing study materials before an exam or discussing optimal solutions for a programming lab assignment, this portal opens up opportunities for collaboration and mutual learning.
